ARTIST STATEMENT
Ellen is an Australian artist and creative who specialises in abstract, contemporary expressionism. Her work portrays intimate studies of landscapes, the ebb and flow of tides predominately through the Tweed Coast region and the expansive skies of North West regional New South Wales.
Ellen paints and works from her studio in the Scenic Rim, Queensland.
Her art is inspired by the memories and photographs of times and places that hold special memories (both happy, sad and all in between) surrounded by her four children and husband and their red kelpie Dorothy.
She is inspired by the changing tides and the moving colours and light that come with the seasons and the moments of memories of time.
Ellen’s works are held in private collections and hung widely throughout South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
