CURATION In this abstract exploration, I hold inspiration from beneath the surface to capture the subtle interplay of light and shadow in the ocean's depths. Through a carefully chosen palette of sandy beiges and slate greys, the work evokes the ethereal quality of underwater spaces where sunlight filters through moving waters.
The composition draws inspiration from the fluid boundary between above and below, where waves create ever-shifting patterns. By restricting the colour palette to neutral tones, the piece emphasizes the textural qualities of the oceanic environment – the gentle rippling of sand beds, the weathered surfaces of submerged stones, and the diffused light dancing through suspended particles.
